![]() You can install the Alpine firmware on it and get much more control (and far better sound) on the audio side, but that won’t help you with your maps. ![]() It’s actually an Alpine INE-W920R unit which was customised by Mazda. Would just be interested to hear whether that was on option, or if it’s only the Naviextras or nothing. ![]() I understand the unit is a Win CE model and runs iGo mappping? Is that correct? If so, would an iGo maps update SD card be compatible? These are slightly less expensive at ~£30 which I would be prepared to spend if it meant having the functionality there - there are several new roads and bypasses near me, so I often look like I’m driving off-road on the nav software. I updated using Naviextras and now have the maps running from the micro SD slot, but the cost for an up to date maps pack is over £60 which I find a bit steep considering I have Google Maps on my phone.
